The main objective of Our Website is to raise awareness amongst patient organizations, institutions, the general public and decision-makers about people living with dystrophinopathies. This includes people living with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy, as well as carriers. World Duchenne Awareness Day takes place each year on September 7.

The Website provides information in relation to (i) World Duchenne Awareness Day and all of the related events happening around the world, (ii) the history of World Duchenne Awareness Day with information and materials about past educational themes, (iii) people living with dystrophinopathies and (iv) provide materials in several languages to facilitate global awareness raising.

The information is available to any internet users, who choose to access the Website (“Users”) and is in the form of, including but not limited to, texts, pictures, banners, video and audio files (together “Materials”).

World Duchenne Awareness Day logo –The World Duchenne Awareness Day logo, may not be used for commercial purposes, but only in support of activities related to World Duchenne Awareness Day. As the World Duchenne Awareness Day logo is a symbol of a joint community advocating for better lives of people living with dystrophinopathies, the logo can only be displayed in the spirit in which it was intended.

The logo, if used, should be used stand alone, in the format available on the Website. You may not alter the logo in any way such as by changing the design, colors or the proportions, or crop it or combine it within any other logo.
