Mi nombre es Sergio Alvarado García, tengo 14 años, vengo a la Asociación todos los martes, recibo terapia física y pulmonar, también voy al catecismo y me dan clases de inglés. Soy muy alegre, me gusta hacer amigos. Tengo dos hermanos uno deellos también tiene distrofia muscular, su nombre es Juan Carlos, con mis dos hermanos me la llevo muy bien. Mi principal ayuda es mi mamá, ella nos apoya en todo lo que necesitamos, es muy trabajadora y es buena persona, cuando crezca quiero ayudar a mi familia en todo lo que se pueda. Me gusta mucho platicar con toda mi familia pero más con mi mamá. Me gusta la música, el rock alternativo principalmente, mi grupo favorito es “ColdPlay”, No me gusta la banda. Me gusta ver la televisión, las caricaturas “Hora de aventura” y documentales de animales, también me gusta jugar algunos juegos en mi celular. Mi sueño, es conocer Grecia y Egipto. Me encanta leer sobre historias antiguas y mitos. Disfruto mucho de ir al cine. Mis animales favoritos son los perros y gatos. Mi comida favorita es la pizza, las hamburguesas y los hot-dog, también me gusta comer brócoli con limón y chile.Mis sueños son poder tomar clases de dibujo profesional y ser un distribuidor de coches de la marca FORD.

My name is Sergio Alvarado García, I am 14, I come to ADMO A.C every Tuesday where I receive aphysical and pulmonary therapies. I assist to catechism, and take English classes. I am happy personand like to make friends. I have two brother and one of them, has a muscular dystrophy as well, hisname is Juan Carlos. The three of us take it good. My main help is my Mom, she supports us in anything we need, is a hard-worker and a good person, when I grow up I want to help all the family in all the possible ways. I like to talk with my family,especially with Mom. I like music, mainly alternative rock and Coldplay is my favorite band. I don’t like Sinaloan Music(banda). I like to watch TV, “adventure time” and animal documentaries are my favorites, and also play gamesin my mobile. My dream is to visit Greece and Egypt. I love to read about ancient history and myths. I enjoy going tothe movies. My favorites pets are dogs and cats and my favorite food are pizza, hamburger and hotdog but also broccoli (with lemon and hot pepper). My dreams are to learn professional drawing and being a car dealer from FORD.

Jmenuji se Jirka Mára a je mi 24 let. Mám svalovou dystrofii, nezvládnu sám dýchat a jsem proto nepřetržitě napojený na plicní ventilátor. Možná si někdo řekne, co je to za život, s takovou nemocí. Já jsem ale spokojený. Žiju se svými rodiči a sestrou v Přerově, v České republice. Naším společným koníčkem je cestování, kterému se intenzivně věnujeme více než deset let. Sám si vymyslím nějakou expedici a do nejmenších podrobností ji připravím. Potom společně cestujeme přesně podle mého plánu. Když se vrátíme, tak můj otec o cestě napíše knihu a vytvoří dokumentární film, já s maminkou mezitím připravujeme fotografie na besedy, které pořádáme pro příznivce cestování i zdravotně postižené. Chceme všem ukazovat, že dokázat se dá naprosto všechno, i s tak těžkou nemocí, jakou svalová dystrofie nepochybně je. Jenže my jsme byli ve všech světadílech, třeba Austrálii jsme objeli úplně celou kolem dokola, 24 tisíc kilometrů. Dostali jsme se například i do Japonska, Grónska, na Galapágy, Havajské ostrovy nebo třeba na Nový Zéland. Projeli jsme téměř 50 zemí a všechno na vozíku. Nechci se v žádném případě chlubit, chci pouze říct, že to jde zvládnout. Chci ostatní vlastním příkladem povzbudit a dodat jim odvahu. Celý rok mám co dělat, když zrovna necestujeme, tak připravuji další výpravy nebo zpracovávám ty minulé, abychom o nich mohli povídat. Život mě baví a nemám ani moc času myslet na svou nemoc.

My name is Jiri Mara, I am 24 years old. I have muscular dystrophy and as I cannot breathe myself, I am constantly connected to a breathing apparatus. Someone may say: what a poor life with such a disease. But I’m happy. I live with my parents and sister in Prerov, Czech Republic. Our common hobby is to travel. I think about an expedition and prepare it in great detail. Then we travel together exactly according to my plan. When we come back my dad writes a book about the journey and creates a documentary film. In the meantime with my mom, we prepare photos for meetings that we organize for travel fans, including disabled ones. We’re trying to show that they can do absolutely everything, even with a severe illnesses as muscular dystrophy. We visited all continents, whole Australia for instance, it was around 24 thousand kilometers. We also visited Japan, Greenland, the Galapagos Islands, Hawaii, and even New Zealand. We visited almost 50 countries, all with wheelchair. In any case it is not my intention to boast, I just want to mention that it is manageable. I want, by my own example, to encourage others and to give them courage. The whole year I’m busy, when we don’t travel we prepare another trip or we work on the past ones in order to present them. I enjoy life and I do not have much time to think about my illness.

Meu nome é Wilson Matheus Ribeiro de Oliveira, moro em Campina Grande do Sul-Paraná, tenho 19 anos e sou atleta de Power soccer, minha equipe (Curitiba Power Soccer – Obadin). Aos 9 anos de idade devido a evolução da DMD, parei de andar e imaginei que nunca mais fosse fazer o que mais gostava, jogar futebol com meu pai e irmão. Com a descoberta do Power Soccer vi que poderia fazer muito mais, representar meu Estado e meu País numa Seleção brasileira de Power soccer. Sou muito feliz por ter amigos e família que me aponham sempre.

I’m 26 years old and come from Heidelberg, Germany. Very important things for me are music, poetry and travel. I have music playing in my room most of the day. I listen to a vast range of musical genres, like rock, jazz, electronic music and world music and I love discovering new exciting sounds. While I don’t actually read a lot of poetry, I enjoy writing poems and I’d like to write even more, but inspiration is a shy creature. You can read my poems here. Travel comes with a lot of preparing and always remains an adventure (Will the accommodations really be accessible?) but the reward more than compensates for all the work. I have the goal of traveling to all European countries while I still can and I have actually nearly fulfilled that goal, including countries like Serbia and Romania where it was even more difficult finding accessible accommodation, compared to western Europe. Hoi! ik ben Kevin: een lieve, vrolijke en levenslustige kleuter van bijna 5 jaar oud. Ik woon samen met mijn broer, zusje en ouders in Nederland. Ik vind het geweldig om in het zand te spelen, te zwemmen, op ontdekkingstocht te gaan in de bossen en met andere kinderen buiten te spelen. Sinds vorig jaar ga ik naar school en ik heb het daar reuze naar mijn zin. Mijn favoriete vak is spelen in de hoeken. Als ik iets zou willen veranderen in de wereld is dat er geen ruzie meer is en belangrijk: geen onweer, daar ben ik een beetje bang voor… Mijn dag is geslaagd als ik plezier kan maken, spelletjes kan doen en veel kan knuffelen met de mensen waarvan ik hou. Mijn droom is om te kunnen springen – zo hoog mogelijk de lucht in!

Hi there! I am Kevin; a sweet and happy almost 5-year-old boy who loves to play outside. I live with my brother, sister and parents in the Netherlands. I love going into nature, playing with other kids, swimming and bicycling. I’d like going to school, play with my friends, read books, watch television, do lego, and play outside. If I could change something in the world, it would be no more fights and thunderstorms! My day is a success when have fun, can play and give hugs. My dream is to jump – high up in the air! I wish to have a wonderfull life with lots of love, joy and a good health!

El es mi hijo Yanir, vivimos en santo domingo, República Dominicana,tiene 15 años y tiene distrofia muscular duchenne, esta en la silla de rueda desde los 12 años, está en noveno curso en el colegio, es el segundo de tres hermanos, solo el tiene duchenne. Es muy alegre, amistoso, luchador, positivo, perseverante, cariñoso. Disfruta esta con sus amigos, pasear, viajar, ver películas, jugar playstation, el fascinan los animales……Espero aparezca pronto la medicina que frene esta enfermedad !!!!!!

I am a keen photographer

My name is Jack Johnson and I am seven years old. I live with my Dad, Mum and little brother in Wigan in the North of England. I enjoy running a bug collecting club at school with my friends and at the moment I am building a bug hotel in my back garden. I am a keen photographer and take pictures of the bugs I collect. In the summer holidays I am going to be doing some photography workshops.

If I could have dinner with three people dead or alive it would be my Great Grandad Arthur I miss him very much. He bought me my first gardening and bug collecting set. The Queen and The Prime Minister.

My dream is to one day build a life size spaceship out of lego and fly it to the moon.

rodoHola mi nombre es Rodolfo espindola tengo 13 años, vivo en el estado de mexico vivo con mis padres y mis hermanos, tengo un perro llamado lemmy me gusta mucho la música en especial el heavy metal. Mis anhelos son llegar a ser un guitarrista profesional y comentarista de deportes especialmente de futbol.

Me llamo Valentino y tengo 3 años de edad. Mi cumpleaños es el día 10 de Mayo y soy del signo de Tauro. Vivo en la ciudad de Rio Tercero Provincia de Córdoba, Argentina. Vivo con mi mama María Luz y mi papa Fernando en un departamento chiquito pero confortable, lleno de alegría y felicidad. Me diagnosticaron Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne cuando tenía 1 año y medio, pero eso no me impidió a realizar mi vida con total normalidad. Todos los días voy a mis terapias donde trabajan conmigo personas muy buenas que me ayudan a mejorar mi calidad de vida. También voy a la guardería, estoy en salita de 3 años y tengo muchos amigos. Me gusta pintar, dibujar, jugar con mis juguetes y compartir juegos con otros niños. El fin de semana me gusta ir a la casa de mis abuelas que me dan mucho cariño y cosas ricas para comer. Los Domingos también salimos a pasear por la plaza. Cuando el clima esta agradable voy a la granja a montar en caballo y darle de comer a los otros animales. Si pudiera cambiar algo en el mundo serian 2 cosas, que no existiera ninguna enfermedad y que no hubiese desigualdad entre las personas.Si tuviera que invitar alguien a cenar, solo invitaría a 2 personas, a mi mama y a mi papa, ya que ellos me cuidan todos los días y me gustaría regalarles una cena. Mi mejor recuerdo fue cuando subí por primera vez a un caballo, tenía un poco de miedoporque era alto, pero después me gustó tanto que aún lo sigo haciendo. Mi recuerdo más divertido fue cuando comí helado por primera vez, me ensucie toda la cara y la ropa. Mi sueño seria tener un perro con el cual pueda jugar todos los días. También me gustaría tener un hermano o hermana, a la cual puede cuidar y disfrutar. Mis personas favoritas a mi lado son mis padres. Un día de éxito para mi es cuando me despierto y puedo respirar, sentir que estoy vivo, disfrutar de la brisa del aire que me acaricia la cara, escuchar a los pajaritos cantar arriba de los árboles. Un día de éxito para mi es poder abrir los ojos y ver a mis padres a mi lado luchando día a día, sin bajar los brazos, sin descansar un segundo y dando batalla a todas las adversidades.Un día de éxito para mi es estar tranquilo y saber que ellos siempre estarán cuando yo los necesite.

My name is Valentino and I have 3 years of age. My birthday is on May 10 and I am the sign of Taurus. I live in the city of Rio Tercero Cordoba Province, Argentina. I live with my mom and my dad Luz Maria Fernando in a tiny but cozy, full of joy and happiness department. I was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy when he was 1 year and a half, but that did not stop me to make my life as normal. Every day I go to my therapies where very good people working with me to help me improve my quality of life. I also go to kindergarten, I’m sitting of 3 years and have many friends. I like to paint, draw, play with my toys and share games with other children. Over the weekend I like going to the house of my grandmothers who give me much affection and delicious things to eat. Sunday also went for a walk around the square. When the weather is nice I go to the farm to ride a horse and feed the other animals. If I could change anything in the world they would be 2 things that did not exist any disease and that there was inequality between people. If I had to invite someone to dinner, invite only 2 persons, my mom and dad because they take care of me every day and I would give them a dinner. My best memory was when I climbed for the first time a horse was a little scary because it was high, but then I liked it so much that even I still do. My funniest memory was when I ate ice cream for the first time, my whole face and dirty clothes. My dream would be to have a dog with which to playevery day. I would also like to have a brother or sister, which can care for and enjoy. My favorite people beside me are my parents.A successful day for me is when I wake up and I can breathe, feeling alive, enjoy the breeze air caressing my face, hear the birds singing above the trees. A successful day for me is to open your eyes and see my parents by my side fighting everyday without giving up, without resting a second and give battle all odds. A successful day for me is to stay calm and know that they will always be when I need them.

Soy Carlos Baldomeros Ballado Ordoñez , tengo 9 años , vivo en Oatulco, Oxaca , tengo 4 hermanos , de los cuales son 2 son adoptados, se llaman Angélica, Susy , Daniel y Ángeles. Me gusta nadar con mi papa, me gusta jugar con Dani el porque el me ayuda en todo, también me gusta ver la pelicula la ERA del hielo, jugar con el celular . Mi comida favorita es el pollo con mole y arroz y soy fanático dl equipo Santos en el futbol soccer. Mi sueno es tener una tablet.
